Examples of Past Projects
These two residential projects give an indication of the type of interior decorating and design work previously performed by Finely Found It Interiors. We are also able to work in many other styles and environments.
French Style House – Umhlanga
This was the first French-style house built in Umhlanga at a time when everyone else was building Tuscan-style homes. Despite initial resistance from the architect and builders, the home was constructed and furnished in a French style – resulting in a unique and beautiful end product.
This project took a lot of hands on management to ensure the design brief was adhered to and to catch mistakes before they happened – but hands-on management is one of the things that characterises Finely Found It projects.

Ralph Lauren Style Home Office and Guest Bedroom – Mount Edgecombe
This cottage to home office/guest bedroom conversion is characterised by décor in Navy Blue and White theme reminiscent of Ralph Lauren’s signature style.
The home office had to strike a balance between beauty, restfulness and functionality. Classic, inherited furniture pieces were lovingly restored and combined with a new desk, work area and two shelving units – one above the desk for easy access and the other free-standing and mounted on castors to allow it to be moved wherever needed
The guest bedroom area features a custom-made deep-buttoned headboard and bedside tables as well as a focal wall behind the bed covered in elegant but understated Sanderson wallpaper.
Many of the furniture pieces were fitted with slip covers for easy maintenance – allowing the owner to welcome her pets into the space.
